Excel How-to: Selecting Mulitple Cells

There are many cases where you will need to select multiple cells in Excel. All you need to do is to place your mouse over the center of the cell where you want to start, where you should get a white cross like this:

Now, press and hold the left mouse button, and drag down the number of rows you would like to select:

If you need to select a block of cells, while still holding down the button drag over the number of columns you need to select:

Simple as that. This will be a starting point for many exercises to follow.
